Intense racing especially in the lower teams with Peninsula CC dominant throughout the racing . Each team paddled 5 races of 1800m with all 4 team members having to finish the race for a result. The trick being , to be able to keep your slowest paddler on a good slip as  his crossing the line determined your finish position.

It is a spectator friendly event and it was great to view some of our top paddlers up close and to see how easy they make it look as they power around the course. Century City Canoe Club was there in force and managed a podium position . This is an event with tremendous potential as the interest gains momentum.

2 more similar events are scheduled for Sunday 2nd April ,2017  and Sunday 23rd April, 2017 . Both at the Tygervalley Waterfront.
